Happy New Year!

HELLO 2009!
Please be good!

I haven't done one of these things since last year so I guess it's time. Nothing new going on around here. Kids are in good health for the most part. Noah is battling an little ear infection. They are both very happy toddlers. Shelby and I are trying not to call them babies anymore.

Grandma and Grandpa Jenkins & Uncle Mike came to visit over the New Year. It was great to see them all again. They got the boys some fun gifts to play with. The boys got so many gifts to play with between Birthday and Christmas that we didn't even recognize our living room anymore. We now rotate toys on a weekly basis to keep things fresh and exciting.

The lake effect machine has started up over here. For the past month everytime we see the weather forecast, it shows snowflakes! We decided to embrace it. The boys got a sled, courtesy of Uncle Mike, and they got their first sled rid today. We have about a foot of snow in the yard. I tried pulling the boys through the yard and Noah leaned to one side and tipped over as the sled sunk in the light density of the snow. FACEWASH! Poor kid. He was fine. He got right back on the sled. We'll have to get out and do that more. I think the kids might like it.

Oh yeah. They are getting more talkative. "Dada", "Mama", and "Ball" are common words. Their sign language is getting really good. Seth is blowing kisses like a champ, just like Noah. We are working on more and more stuff. Noah is getting much better walking. Seth is running. Seth also likes to walk over to you with a book and then turn around and sit in your lap so that you can read it to him. WE LOVE THAT! It's so cute.

May everyone make good on their New Year's Resolution. May those of you with snow get a break from the snow shoveling and those of you without snow, get some! We are definitely getting our share. We can't watch a single episode of Sesame Street without the blue bar across the bottom of the screen that shows all of the weather closings!

PICTURES FROM THIS PAST WEEK OR SO

Seth and Noah got to open even more presents. This present in particular was opened very, very slowly. Each boy ripped a piece of wrapper off, then had to walk it over to Uncle Mike for disposal. They did this until there wasn't one little piece left. Of course it was the biggest present. It was hilarious to watch. We loved it!

Of course, you get all of those fun toys, and the box is the most fun!

Okay, no using this to fly down the stairs when you are both teenagers.

So we decided to embrace Winter. Like how they plow our streets? They've actually been doing a good job. This isn't bad for us.

It looks like they were having fun.

Waving bye-bye!

Okay, can anybody guess who's who? I left the names out on purpose.

Feel free to post your guess.

  2. Your boys are adorable. I found your site through another twin blog link. I have twin boys that are the same age as yours (Dec 3). It was nice cute to click through and see the same phases.
