June has been busy! Here's what has been going on with us this month, so far...
The boys finished 3rd grade. We now have two 4th graders living in our house!
Noah and his amazing teacher, Mrs. Joostberns
Seth with his teacher, Mrs. Mutschler. Mrs. Mutschler is moving to 4th grade and Seth is going to be in her class again...along with almost everyone else who was in his class this year. It will be so interesting to see how much he progresses. She is a terrific teacher.

First day of 3rd grade for comparison (Seth is on the left in this one, I really should keep it consistent. Oh well...).
Baseball season finished up earlier this month. The boys and their team had a great season! They finished 2nd in their division after battling back after a loss in the playoffs. Their coach was amazing, they made some great friends and had a lot of fun. They boys were one of 4 players on their team picked by their teammates to play in the all-star game. How exciting for both of them to be able to play! It's hard to believe they didn't play last year because Seth was afraid of the ball (and talked Noah into playing soccer). They looked so comfortable on the field. We also found out that they are pretty good little pitchers.

Their team...JDE Concrete. Such a great group of boys.

The boys had Twins Week in Wisconsin with Grandma and Grandpa this past week. They LOVE it! Once again they were spoiled rotten, but have memories that will last a lifetime.
While they were away, Chris and I had a tough start to the week (more on that later), but ended the week with a spontaneous getaway to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We caught a boat in Leland for a day trip to South Manitou Island.
That evening we went up the dune climb to watch the sunset. We got to the top of this one only to keep going and find out we had to climb another 3 to see the lake and the sunset. It was tiring, but worth it. The only disappointing part was by the time we came back down after the sunset, the ice cream places were closed!
Before we came home yesterday, we took a drive and finally found one of the dune bluffs we had been looking for. We were not adventurous (or crazy) enough to go down.
We are so grateful that Grandma and Grandpa not only spoiled the boys for the week, but they also brought them all the way back to Michigan yesterday. This morning we all went golfing and the boys got to try their clubs for the first time. They did really well and are already asking when they can go back out.
Earlier this week we had to say good-bye to Brody. He was the best dog...so a gentle with the boys, so smart and so happy. We miss him already.
