Packers, Big Boy Beds and Unfair Weather

Just a warning: this post will ramble from topic to topic!

Go Pack Go!  February 6th will be an exciting day in our house as we watch the Packers play in the Superbowl!  Jenkins family members in Wisconsin and Minnesota will be watching and cheering them on right along with us.

The boys with Chris watching the Packers beat the Bears to go to the Superbowl.  Soon after this picture was taken Chris could no longer sit still and paced the house for the rest of the game!

A couple of weekends ago the boys' new twin beds came in and Chris put them together.  I can't believe that they are big enough to sleep in such grown-up looking beds!  They're doing fairly well at settling down at night.  We still keep a gate on their bedroom door to prevent them from wandering the house at night.

It has apparently been a lovely weekend in Southwest Missouri.  My sweet family sent me these pictures from their phones to ours to rub our noses in it.

Mindy sent this one from her car.  Isn't she nice?

My brother was kind enough to share with me that he was able to take the top off his Jeep and wear a short sleeved shirt.

While they were out enjoying the sunshine in Missouri, we were out enjoying the sunshine in our own special way in Michigan!  We bundled the boys up and took them to one of our favorite places to sled.  It was cold and snowy, but the sun was shining which made it beautiful.

See the little black sled?  That was the one Noah went down on first.  See the big inflatable sled?  That was the one Seth rode down on and crashed into Noah.  See Daddy comforting Noah?

Seth got creative with ways to go down the hill.  Here he is pushing himself backwards.

Then he decided to just roll down the hill.

Noah

I lost track of how many times I said 'Stop eating snow!'.  Seth said to me....'Mommy, I no eat the snow, I lick the snow'.

Cheering on Daddy!

Seth and Noah decided that they just wanted to play in the snow instead of sled, so we came home and let them loose in the front yard.

Seth playing snow basketball.

Noah playing snow football.

We've mentioned this many times, but the boys are hilarious little people and make us laugh every day.  We have to do a better job of jotting down the funny things they tell us.  Here are just a couple of examples:
  • Yesterday we had a super fun play date with Keira and Laney.  Keira and Laney are absolutely gorgeous identical twin girls who are just a month and a half older than the boys.  We had a fabulous time!  On our way to their house, the boys were very concerned about the potential for ladybugs and bears getting in our way.  Seth would yell at me 'Watch out for ladybugs, Mommy!' or 'Here comes a bear!'.  When there seemed to be a ladybug in the road Seth would yell for me to jump!  I'd pop up a bit in my seat and he would say 'Awww.....the car didn't jump'.  I guess I disappointed him.
  • The other day Brody decided to give Noah a little kiss.  Noah ran to me all upset and exclaimed loudly 'Brody's eating me!!!'.
Does this look like the face of a dog that would eat a little boy?
