Strawberry Pickin'

Last weekend we went and picked strawberries together as a family.  It was fun for about 15 minutes and then we were all done - Seth and Noah got bored quickly!  The boys had a great time and were not quiet in their excitement.  I felt bad for the folks who were enjoying their quiet Saturday morning picking strawberries.  Our arrival kind of messed that up for them.  We came home with more strawberries than we can eat.  I'm sure we'll do this again next year.

Checking out deer tracks in the wood.  That's the Hesterly in them.

Seth and Noah want to thank Uncle Mike, Auntie Liza and baby Savannah for the fun slip 'n slide!

It apparently also doubles as a drinking fountain.

A few Seth & Noahisms:
  • We are trying to encourage the boys (mostly Noah) to go poop on the potty.  Each of them chose a toy.  We put a sticker chart on each toy and put them on the mantle...that way the boys could see the toy, but couldn't play with it.  The sticker chart has room for 4 stickers.  Once the sticker chart is filled, the toy is theirs!  Seth filled up his sticker chart in 4 days and loves playing with his new Iron Man toy.  We put the chart/toys out about 3 weeks ago.  Noah's sticker chart is still empty.  Which leads me to...a little while ago we were driving in the car and Seth announces "I've gotta go poop!".  Noah replied "But, your sticker chart is full."  I guess Noah thought that once it's full you don't have to do it anymore.
  • Seth has started to tell stories that he makes up himself.  He comes running up to us and says "Once upon a time" and starts rambling.  If he pauses and you ask him "Then what happened?"  He always replies "I don't know" and walks away.  He's good at starting stories, he just needs to work on wrapping them up.
  • The other day the boys were playing fetch with one another.  Seriously.  Seth would throw a ball, Noah would crawl to get it, pick it up in his mouth, and crawl back to Seth.  Seth would then tell him to "drop it", which is the command we use with Brody. Noah spit it out and they'd go again.
Seth & Noah are in swim class this week. It's been interesting.  We hope to take some pictures tomorrow and post them soon.
