Baseball Game

We took Seth and Noah to their first West Michigan Whitecaps game today.  It wasn't as hot as it has been this week, but it was still pretty warm and humid.  We got seats on the lawn and the boys were excited about being at the ballpark.  Noah was a little confused, though.  He kept asking when it was his turn to play baseball.  I guess we weren't clear when we told him where we were going...he thought he was there to play baseball, not watch it.

A few pictures from our day...

Our 'seats' on the lawn.

The boys tried their hand at pitching.
Noah pitched the ball a fast 13 mph.

Seth threw it a blazing 17 mph.

Seth enjoyed reading the program.

We went right at naptime.  We had a few rough minutes where we thought the boys were actually going to fall asleep at the game.  Noah made himself comfortable in the grass.  About 10 minutes later he was running circles around us with more energy than all of us put together.

The boys must not have realized how warm it was.  Most of the time they insisted on sitting or laying on us instead of near us.

Seth made himself comfortable on my legs.  He was obviously not concerned about my comfort.

A warm day + sweaty heads + little guys that are overdue for a haircut = super fun hair with no effort.

It was pretty warm.

Sundays are family day and kids eat free.  The boys had already eaten lunch, but devoured hot dogs and a bag of chips for snack. Some snack, huh?  Notice how their backs are to the game?  Kind of hard to see it like that.  I guess the hot dogs were more important.

We stayed until the 7th inning, which was longer than we thought we would stay.  We had enough fun that we hope to do it again before the season is over!
