Christmas 2015

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  I was lucky enough to have a few days off before Christmas and the boys were out of school, so we tried to have a little bit of fun before the big day.

We built gingerbread houses (technically graham cracker houses).  We ALL made one!

Chris and Noah
(Don't worry...Brody isn't dead in the background.  He just thought that was a good place to nap)

Seth

For every picture of them smiling, there is at least 5 pictures of them acting something like this.

The finished products.  We all decided we thought Chris' house was the best (2nd one from the left).

The past few years, the boys have had one night where they build a fort in the living, watch Christmas movies and sleep by the light of the Christmas tree.  They ask for it each year.  How could we say no?

We took the boys to see a little movie that hasn't gotten much attention...

Noah in Kylo Ren, Seth in Darth Vader

Christmas Eve, we made some (LOTS of) cookies for Santa.

The boys wanted to leave all of the carrots out for the reindeer and were disappointed that we didn't have more! Noah decided to leave Santa some eggnog and Seth chose to leave him a beer.

Seth asked for a post-it note so he could leave a note on the beer.  I'm glad he cleared that up...

As mentioned earlier, for every 'nice' picture...

Just because there isn't enough excitement on Christmas Eve, Seth lost another tooth!  For some reason, he was very worried that Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy might run into each other.

The boys like to write notes on the envelope that they put their tooth in.  The notes tend to be a detailed description of how the tooth was lost.

Chris always reads them The Night Before Christmas before bed on Christmas Eve.  I always try to snap a sweet picture of them enjoying the book.  Seth, the little booger, was fully aware of my picture taking and had this face for every single shot.

Santa came!  We told the boys that they couldn't get us up until 7:00 a.m. Christmas morning.  Then, we promptly set the clock in Noah's room (they both were sleeping) to run 20 minutes behind.  We're terrible parents, but we got an extra 20 minutes of sleep!

I threw this in because Noah insisted on bringing Yoda down from his room and putting a Santa hat on him.

The boys were so blessed and received an abundance of terrific gifts!  I won't post pictures of them opening EVERYTHING, but there has to be a few!

Noah has been practicing his magic tricks all day.  Come over and you will be treated to a show.

Seth was so excited to get this DS game.  He complained in his letter to Santa that Noah has the game but never lets him play it.

I love it that they are so good at opening gifts together that are to the both of them.  It shocks me because most of the time they battle over who gets to do something first.

Santa always brings them socks and underwear.  It's fun to watch them open it.

Uncle Bug, Elmo, Gavynn and Riley gave Noah a Kylo Ren costume.  He has barely taken it off since he opened it.  I thought it looked great with his Christmas Ninja pajama bottoms.

Chris told him to strike a pose.  I don't think this is what he intended.

Brody got a couple of new things to destroy.

And last, but not least....  I went shopping today with Kylo Ren.  We didn't get any comments, but we sure did get a lot of looks.
