Different Sports and Birthday

Well this year started out busy. The boys finally decided to participate in different sports for the first time ever. That means Shelby and I have finally experienced kids on different practice and game/meet schedules. Yay!?

So instead of basketball this year, Seth joined the swim team. The season came and went already and he did great in his first year. He competed in freestyle, back stroke, and breast stroke and participated in the medley relays and freestyle relays. He wasn't afraid to go on his own and we were proud of him for it.  For his first year at it, he did great and improved quite a bit. Noah has already said he wants to do swimming next year too, so I will have to take them swimming this summer to work on their form.

Basketball is still ongoing. Noah has been able score some baskets and get some steals. The team was 5-0 before losing their first game yesterday. One more game to go. Go Razorbacks!

Noah started out the year by losing a tooth.

So Shelby ended up getting "Mom Goggles" to wear for the boys.  They of course love it and all the ridiculous praise that comes with Mommy wearing "Mom Goggles."  Seth decided to try them on at Noah's basketball game.

It seams like so long ago, but we had a weird 2 day span where all of the snow melted.  Of course we got it all back and then some.  Crazy January Football without snow gear.

Once the snow came back we had to go back to indoor activities, like Legos, making donuts, etc...

Shelby's birthday this year consisted of a Snow Day for the boy and a government shutdown for Shelby.  They boys are anxiously waiting for Mommy to get home to celebrate her birthday. Waiting by the window.

Happy Birthday to Shelby.

Shelby only kind of liked my birthday card (click and see the front of the card - hehe)

I love you.  Happy Birthday.

- Chris
