The boys had a great school year. They are officially 5th graders (we haven't been told different - haha). One more year of elementary school left. The kids were excited for the last weeks of school with all of the events going on. A trip to the beach, two field days, no more homework. The last day was supposed to be exciting but it ended up being a little more emotional than intended. Seth (and his classmates) spent two years with the same teacher and grew quite fond of her. This was his last year with her and she is going to take some time off next year so all of the emotions came flooding out in the last few hours for the whole class. Poor kids...
The baseball season went great. Didn't win a lot of games this year but I'm sure that taught them a few things as well. They had fun and they improved again towards the end of the year as their confidence grew.
The Memorial Day 5K/Parade happened. The boys did great considering the heat and humidity. We stayed for the parade and sat with our neighbors.
Seth lost a tooth since the last post. So he now has lost the same amount and same teeth as Noah has. Not sure why he was months behind his brother on that one.
The boys have discovered the joys(pains) of yard work. They are now cutting the grass. One does the front and then the other does the backyard. We had our 10 yards of mulch delivered and the boys helped fill the wheelbarrows and run mulch around the yard. They worked so hard and stayed on task! They earned a night out for ice cream after that. We pulled the metal edging out as well and they helped with that. The next day was all play - catching frogs, fishing, fowling, etc.
Summer vacation has begun!

So the first field day we should have used SPF50 - and maybe I should have helped apply it better.
Too much sunshine.

Memorial Day 5K - I tried a "pan" shot of Noah. I'm better at them now. Not my best moment.
Seth is the most photogenic runner in this picture.

The frog decided it had enough of the 5 gallon bucket. It actually made the jump to the ledge - to all of our amazement.
Summer vacation begins - and off they go.
First weekend no kids - fire pit installed and ready. But too hot for any stinking fire!
