LABOR Day!

First and foremost, congrats to the new parents. Shelby and I have a new niece, born on Labor Day. Congrats Mike and Liza. She's beautiful and we can't wait to meet her. What a Labor Day for them.

That was icing on the cake for a fun weekend. We have been busy trying to get in as much summer as possible. On Saturday we went to our old stompin' ground(Saugatuck) on Lake Michigan. We enjoyed living there and we miss that little town. The boys loved seeing the big boats. There were a few that probably were in the 7 digit range. I cannot fathom having that much money. We did have fun walking around, going through the little shops and stuff. Always good places to eat there.

On Sunday we went back to the zoo, where the boys were looking for the dogs and the horsies. Sorry boys, it's not that type of zoo. But we did see the bears. One of the bears was trying to sleep and the boys kept asking it to take a bath. He looked up annoyingly and sighed. Poor bear. I'm sure he was happy we left.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS.
The boys are playing baby together. They take turns baby-ing each other. They will take turns holding each other like a baby and they say they want to change each others diapers. In Meijer Garden, they took turns looking to see if the other was poopy. That's not right! Time to get the hang of going on the potty! They also pretend to feed each other food. That's new too. This pretend thing is starting to take off. I went in their bedroom in the morning to get them up and they wanted me to lick their (pretend) ice cream. Weird, but funny. This pretend thing is kind of fun though. It opens the door to all kinds of new ways to reason with them.

FUNNY STORY
Have you ever tried to use one kid against the other? For example, "Seth look! Noah is eating his veggies. You should eat your veggies too." Well as it turns out, turnabout is fair play. On the way home today, the boys were asking me to honk the horn. I said, "No, I'm not going to honk the horn." Noah looked at me and said, "Mommy honks the horn!" That's not right!
