St. Lucia

Chris and I got back recently from an amazing trip to St. Lucia!  We had a wonderfully relaxing week.  It rained some, it was hot some and it was just what we needed.  Our week was filled with so many experiences.  As a bonus, we met some really great people.

Just a few pictures...

View from our room.

We spent one full day on an excursion that included a catamaran ride, driving a buggy, eating lunch at a plantation, volcano, hot springs, mud bath, waterfall and snorkeling!

The Pitons...

Chris quickly figured out how to drive a buggy from the right side, shifting with his left hand and driving on the left side of the road.  The roads in St. Lucia are NARROW and curvy and all uphill (well, it felt like it).  He did a great job driving, even when we went through town after school let out and there were a ton of kids on the road.

The sulphur springs near the volcano.

The guides took a lot of pictures of us.  This is my favorite from the waterfall...

One night we went to another Sandals resort to eat at Kelly's Dockside.  It was the best meal we had while in St. Lucia.

Our resort had a golf course, so we played golf one morning with another super fun couple.  It was HOT, but it was so much fun.  Everyone was relaxed, didn't take themselves too seriously and just enjoyed being there.  I was a little anxious because I'm sort of terrible at golf, but our caddy and Scott and Jane were very cool.

Our caddy, Lennon, could not have been more fun.  There was no pressure and he was very helpful.

Our last full day was spent in a cabana at the beach.  We ate breakfast and lunch there and soaked up the sun.

A street party capped off the last night...

Random pictures of the resort...

Our room was behind the door on the top left.  There were a lot of stairs, which were very interesting to navigate after a couple of late nights.

We stopped on the way to the airport to check out a beautiful view of Dennery, a fishing village.

Of course I can't do an entire post without pictures of the boys!!

We are so grateful that Dad and Judy came to stay with the boys so that we could get away and celebrate our anniversary!  The boys had a lot of fun with them and they wore our Papa and Judy.

They were super excited to get an early birthday present! Please note our fancy dining room table...the new one isn't in yet.

I swear the boys grew while we were away.  Too bad Noah didn't forget how to do that goofy smile.  He's still cute.

Thank you sooooo much, Dad and Judy!  Want to do it again next year?  Ha Ha Ha...
