Various Summer Things

We've been keeping ourselves busy lately.  Here are a few highlights...

The drive-in is always fun.  We usually try to go once or twice in the summer.  We'd go more, but with our awesome Michigan summers comes really late sunsets.  Movies don't start until 10:30 or after.  That makes for a rough next day.

Ready for the movie to start.

We always get there early. The boys play on the playground and usually throw a football around...and get filthy.  I made them at least clean their feet before crawling into the car.

We went to Grand Haven for some dinner and walked around near the water.

We also finally made our way to the zoo check out the animals.

Noah thought his wingspan would be bigger.

There's a wallaby somewhere behind those cheesy grins.

The budgies were particularly friendly that day.

This was the moment Seth decided he was all done with the budgies.  He didn't appreciate the little guy landing on his shoulder uninvited.

Next on the summer bucket list (if we actually had a summer bucket list) was a trip to Michigan's Adventure.

This picture makes me laugh.  Noah was mugging in mid-air.

Once again, the boys' favorite ride was Corkscrew because it goes upside down.

Chris and Noah waited a little longer in line so they could ride in the front.

They were just tall enough to ride the two larger coasters this year, but we couldn't convince them to go on them...while we were there.  About 20 minutes after we left, they said they wanted to ride them.  Too late.  Maybe next year!

Other Randomness...

When you have to make a quick work stop with Dad.

I got this picture from Chris.  It was his way of telling me he picked up the boys.

I went to wake them up one morning and found them like this.  I don't know how often Seth climbs into Noah's bed.  While it is very sweet, it sure doesn't look comfortable.  After I woke them up, Seth said 'This is just wrong'.  I asked him what was wrong and he said 'My dream was just wrong'.  Noah, in a very irritated voice said 'I bet it was that you came up my stairs and got into my bed'.

The boys are playing football for the first time.  Yesterday, they got their gear.  They have barely taken it off since.

These are from this morning, just sitting in the living room watching TV.  HGTV to be exact.

Chris took them outside on the deck for a few more pictures.
Noah trying to look tough.

Noah looking not quite so tough.
