Almost Christmas!

We've had a busy month leading up to Christmas!  Here are some of the highlights...

The boys had their last elementary Christmas program earlier this month.  Their music teacher always does a great job!  The boys sang, played recorders AND ukuleles.

The program was the same day as my mom's birthday.  Noah said he was sure that she watched from heaven and loved it.  I agree with him.

For the boys' birthday gift this year, we gave them a weekend at Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee.  We finally delivered!  The boys were spoiled rotten for a couple of days playing mini golf, bowling, climbing a rock wall and traversing a ropes course and of course...playing in the water park!  Seth declared it 'The best weekend of my life!'.

This one we simply called the 'toilet bowl'.  I rode it with Seth and we clogged the toilet.  I had to push us so we could get back around to go down the hole.

While we were at Great Wolf, we went over to Six Flags for Holiday in the Park.  We first heard about Holiday in the Park when we were at Six Flags America in Maryland.  We found out that Great America was going to have Holiday in the Park for the first time this year.  Of course we had to check it out!  We fully expected to just walk through the park and look at lights.  We were pleasantly surprise (shocked!) to see some of the roller coasters running when we pulled int the parking lot.  Of course we rode a couple!  It was cold, but so much fun.

The lights were beautiful and it was very Christmas-y to walk around and take in the sights.

We decided that we should do reindeer antlers instead of bull horns on Raging Bull this time!

The boy received special wolf ears at Great Wolf because they were there celebrating a birthday. I forced them to take a picture before we left, like a proper mean mom.

Friday was another last...the boys' last Christmas party at school.  Of course I signed up to bring the sweet treat and this year I was in Seth's class for his party.  As an added bonus, Ron and Jan came into town so Grandma got to go to the party, too!  Seth was thrilled.

I noticed the stockings hanging in the room and also noticed there was only one green one.  It really stood out and upon further inspection....

...Yup.  It was Seth's.

We also made cookies for Santa this weekend.  It turned into quite the production!

There was no shortage of sprinkles.

Or frosting.

The cookies turned out so good!  I was impressed with the boys' creativity and piping!  They had a blast. Several times we were told by Noah 'Don't question my artistry', we asked him what he was doing.  We all kept looking at the cookies because there was SO MUCH to take in!  While they are fun and beautiful, we aren't having any hesitation in eating them.

The boys got to open their gifts from Grandma and Grandpa and were so thrilled and thankful!  Madden 19 was a BIG hit!

Luca even got a present!

One of my gifts to Ron.  The gift that keeps on giving.

Chris asked for a duck army for Christmas.  Chris' mom took it a step further and made an entire duck war!

Merry Christmas!
