The boys dressed up as scary jesters for Halloween this year. They originally wanted to go goofy with Halloween this year (like a pink bunny, and something else that escapes me). Yet when they went to the Costume store they came home with jester outfits...go figure. We actually had somewhat decent weather this year (still cold though) so I brought up the portable fire pit and Shelby got to hand out candy next to the fire in the driveway. We saw about the same number as the year before. Luca was a little skittish around the kids and wanted to sit in Shelby's lap. I took her trick or treating with the boys. Seth and Noah had fun as usual. We made the kids get rid of probably half of their candy. It's December 4th and they still have some in the pantry.
Shelby and I celebrated our Anniversary this year with a trip to Mexico. We braved the trip to Playa del Carmen and had a great time. To say we were disappointed to come home to snow would be an understatement. Winter started way too early this year. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for watching the kids while we left. Sorry about the snow...and the dog... Thank you for taking them to Craig's Cruisers and making sure they did their homework. Thank you for not letting the dog tear the house apart.
We went to Rebounderz the weekend before the kids birthday just to do something fun as a family. I don't think Seth lost a game of dodgeball. Mark that down as one of his special skills apparently. Noah is fearless and was jumping off the 10' ledge backwards.
We turned around and went to Wisconsin for Thanksgiving. We celebrated their birthday in Wisconsin, bringing homemade Shelby cakes. The boys got to make pumpkin pie with Grandma and we spent plenty of time playing games. We even fit in some games with Great Grandma while we were there. It's pretty cool to have 4 generations playing a game together. We made it back home just in time for the snow machine to start up again, but that's for another post called - Why Do We Live Here? Time to get in the Christmas spirit I guess. We did put the tree up last weekend.
It will be a great Christmas, provided Luca lets us have a Christmas tree. She's already broke two ornaments, one light, pulled the tree skirt, and pulled off a strip of garland. It's only been a couple of days. Can't turn your head for a minute around here. She's sneaky fast. We got home from Mexico and the boys told us that she's the second fastest dog in the world Vizslas run 40 miles per hour, Greyhounds 42. What did we do?
Noah was not pleased with his spider. I thought he did great.
Shelby again tackled a treat for the school Halloween party. Last year of elementary school.
Last elementary school Halloween party - Noah won the contest.

Thanksgiving Day - game time.
Black Friday shopping - cookie dough from the Dough Shoppe for energy.
Normal people are sleeping.
Learning happened.
Don't be goofy and put the leash around your neck with a dog that can run 40 miles per hour.
Learning...
Went to see the Grinch - trying to get in the Christmas spirit before putting up the tree.
Many new ornaments this year.
I tried to do some off leash training with Luca around Halloween.
She's so smart when you have hot dogs.
If you smell like hot dogs, she will do anything you ask.
It was very FALLy at the Nature Center. Made for some fun pictures.
