The boys went to Missouri this summer and spent some time with the Hesterly Clan. Of course there was no shortage of things to do for the kids. Fishing, Swimming at Vera Cruz, boating, Incredible Pizza, riding roller coasters at Silver Dollar City, Urban Air Adventure Park and hanging out at the Ranch. Of course they didn't call, didn't write, & didn't have time to miss home.
Shelby and I went on a little adventure as well. Shelby went with me on a work trip to New Orleans that first week. While I was busy at work, she fit in some cuisine, relaxation and sites. She took the Whitney Plantation Tour and hit Cafe Du Monde We did find time to fit in a cemetery/ghost tour hosted by a paranormal investigator who identifies with vampires (he had fangs). We saw zero ghosts on the ghost tour - we were not surprised by this. Aside from that it was very informative and worth going.
Meanwhile, in Missouri, the kids were having a blast. We went down to visit the following week. We hung out at the ranch, went to the pool and jumped off the high dive, hit the Have-a-Blast Celebration with fireworks, went to fundraiser, caught one of Riley's baseball games, and asked Papa to take us to Vera Cruz to the swimming hole.
It was great to see everyone again and hang out.

This King Cake French Toast with cinnamon cream cheese and mardi gras sprinkles was amazing.

Riley, Seth & Noah all did the "Huna."
Getting ready for fireworks...and staying cool with ice cream.
Riley is ready.
Running home
Riley needed a little coaxing for the first jump.
The picture is deceiving, it's much deeper where you jump in
